Garnet

The name "garnet" comes from the Latin "granatus", given its similarity to the shape and color of the pomegranate fruit. It is considered a very energizing and regenerating gem, related to love and devotion. It enjoyed great popularity during the 18th and 19th centuries in Europe - starring in many Victorian jewels.
